Drivers traveling on motorways in Serbia and Republika Srpska can now use a single electronic toll collection (TAG) device across both road networks, following the launch of a new integrated toll payment system on June 3.
According
to the public enterprise responsible for Serbia’s road infrastructure, the
initiative was made possible through cooperation between the road authorities
of Serbia and Republika Srpska. The new arrangement allows motorists to travel
seamlessly on motorways in both territories using one TAG device, eliminating
the need to purchase additional equipment or stop at toll collection points.
The
integrated toll system officially came into operation today at 9:00 a.m.,
marking another step toward improving transport connectivity and simplifying
cross-border travel for citizens and businesses.
Officials highlighted that the regional electronic toll collection platform, known as TOLL4ALL, now connects five toll systems across Southeast Europe, including Serbia, Republika Srpska, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Croatia.
The
expansion of the network is expected to enhance mobility, reduce travel times,
and facilitate more efficient movement of people and goods throughout the
region. Authorities also emphasized that the project represents an important
milestone in regional integration efforts and the modernization of transport
infrastructure.
With
the latest upgrade, drivers can enjoy a more convenient travel experience while
benefiting from a unified electronic payment system designed to make road
transport faster and more efficient across participating countries.
