TOURIST ORGANIZATION AND BANJA LUKA BREWERY JOIN FORCES TO PROMOTE THE SYMBOLS OF SRPSKA’S LARGEST CITY

Ahead of the traditional Dajak Boat Race, which will be held on July 26 as the highlight of this year’s “Summer on the Vrbas” festival, the Banja Luka Tourist Organization, in cooperation with Banja Luka Brewery, organized a visit for representatives of the Banja Luka Dajak Club and the winners of the “Banja Luka Swallow” bridge diving competition.

The joint initiative aims to promote some of Banja Luka’s most recognizable symbols – the authentic dajak boat, the Vrbas River and the rich tradition of Banja Luka Brewery, one of the country’s oldest domestic brands.

During their visit, the guests had the opportunity to learn about the more than 150-year history of Banja Luka Brewery, tour its production facilities and see how a rich heritage is combined with modern technology today. The visit once again demonstrated that connecting tourism, culture and the local community can create some of the most memorable stories about the city.

The Banja Luka Tourist Organization emphasized that cooperation with local companies and institutions is essential for creating high-quality tourism experiences.

“Every year, the Summer on the Vrbas festival brings together a large number of residents and tourists, while the Dajak Boat Race is one of its most recognizable events. Cooperation with Banja Luka Brewery is a natural connection between two stories that have represented Banja Luka for decades. In this way, we jointly promote tradition, the tourism offer and an authentic experience of our city,” said Milica Radović, spokesperson for the Banja Luka Tourist Organization.

In recent years, Banja Luka Brewery has become an important destination included in organized tourist tours carried out in partnership with the Banja Luka Tourist Organization.

“Banja Luka Brewery and the dajak boat share a common story – they are symbols of our city and part of an identity passed down through generations. That is why we are delighted to have welcomed representatives of the Dajak Club and the winners of the ‘Banja Luka Swallow’ competition as part of the Summer on the Vrbas festival. We believe that initiatives like this contribute to preserving tradition and promoting Banja Luka as a city of rich history, unique culture and recognizable brands,” said Andrea Lizdek, Marketing Manager at Banja Luka Brewery.

The Dajak Boat Race, taking place on Sunday, will once again bring together lovers of the Vrbas River and this unique Banja Luka sport. Initiatives such as this further demonstrate that bringing together the city’s iconic brands and traditions creates an authentic and memorable picture of Banja Luka.
