The vibrant mimosa flower, accompanied by a festive parade of majorettes, city musicians, trombonists, and costumed performers, attracted significant attention in Bijeljina, where the 56th Mimosa Festival was officially promoted.
The parade concluded at King Peter Square, where the lively marching band tunes gave way to the Mediterranean melodies of the Castel Nuovo a cappella group.
After several years of absence, the residents of Bijeljina eagerly welcomed and celebrated the return of the Mimosa Festival caravan, stated Dragana Dimić from the local Tourist Organization.
"Collaboration between the cities of Herceg Novi and Bijeljina, as well as our respective tourist organizations, is at a high level. Herceg Novi is a beloved destination for our citizens not only during the Mimosa Festival but also throughout the summer months," said Dimić.
Tanja Mrkaić from the Herceg Novi Tourist Organization highlighted the availability of various accommodation packages for the Mimosa Festival and noted the excellent interest shown by visitors.
"We are aware that travel agencies in Bijeljina are organizing packages for visits to Herceg Novi during the Mimosa Festival, which makes us very happy. From this region, we welcome loyal guests, and we are delighted to invite everyone again this year," said Mrkaić.
The program of the 56th Mimosa Festival was presented by Tatjana Ateljević, director of JUK Herceg Fest, who expressed gratitude for the warm reception of the Mimosa Caravan in Bijeljina and invited citizens to visit Herceg Novi between February 14 and March 2.
The organizers of the 56th Mimosa Festival are the Municipality of Herceg Novi, the Herceg Novi Tourist Organization, and JUK Herceg Fest.
Over the weekend, the Mimosa Festival was also promoted in Banja Luka, the largest city in the Republic of Srpska.
