The film is being produced by the Banja Luka-based production company Kvaka 22, with the support of the Audiovisual Center of the Republic of Srpska, and will be directed by Saša Hajduković.

Ahead of the start of filming, members of the film crew and representatives of the local community visited Tošići to inspect the locations and discuss the organisational and logistical arrangements that will be required during the winter production.

Host Boro Marić, together with director Saša Hajduković, production designer Slobodanka Pilić, Mrkonjić Grad Mayor Dragan Vođević and Acting Director of the Tourism Organisation Nataša Arežina, toured the locations that will be used during filming.

The old houses, rural roads, landscapes and authentic village atmosphere of Tošići will soon leave their everyday setting and become part of the scenery of a feature film.

The fact that the film crew found in Pecka the space and atmosphere needed for the story of “Bjesnilo” is particularly significant for the local community. The filming will be a unique experience for residents, while also providing an opportunity for Pecka's nature, architecture and authentic rural surroundings to be captured on the big screen.

Film productions in smaller communities can also have a wider impact on local tourism. In addition to showcasing the destination, they can increase its visibility and introduce audiences across the country and beyond to landscapes and rural areas that have rarely appeared in film productions.

With several months remaining until filming begins in February, more details about “Bjesnilo”, including its cast and other filming locations, are expected to be announced in the coming period.

One thing is already certain: next winter, Tošići will take on a new role – this time, in front of the film cameras.
