Banjaluka is getting ready to welcome the festive season with a rich programme of events, entertainment and seasonal attractions as the city prepares for another edition of “Banjalučka zima” (Banjaluka Winter) and its popular winter market, “Zimzobal”.
Final
preparations are underway ahead of the official opening on 1 December, when the
largest city in the Republic of Srpska will once again transform its streets
and squares into a festive gathering place for residents and visitors of all
generations.
MUSIC, ENTERTAINMENT AND FESTIVE ATMOSPHERE
Residents
of Banjaluka and tourists can look forward to a variety of events, with the
festive atmosphere further enhanced by traditional Christmas and New Year
decorations, as well as music, entertainment and gastronomic programmes.
Preparations
will soon begin for the installation of festive wooden stalls in Petar Kočić
Park, which will once again host the “Zimzobal” winter market. The park is set
to become one of the city's main gathering places, offering opportunities for
socialising and enjoying the seasonal atmosphere.
SPECIAL PROGRAMMES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
As in
previous years, a special programme will also be organised at the Youth Centre
under the title “Winter at the Youth Centre”.
The
youngest visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a dedicated Children's New
Year celebration, while a special programme of music and entertainment is also
being planned to mark the Orthodox New Year.
KASTEL FORTRESS TO BECOME THE NEW HOME OF ZIMZOBAL
One of
the most significant announcements concerns the future location of the winter
market.
Starting
with the 2027/2028 winter season, “Zimzobal” is set to move to a new location –
the historic Kastel Fortress, which is planned to be transformed into a
spectacular festive setting.
The
aim is to make Banjaluka a city of encounters, joy and winter magic once again,
with events bringing together families, friends, children and visitors eager to
experience the special atmosphere of the city.
FULL PROGRAMME TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON
Further
details about this year's events will be announced in the coming period,
following a meeting of the Organising Committee of “Banjalučka zima”.
With
its winter market, festive decorations and diverse entertainment programme,
Banjaluka is preparing to offer another memorable holiday season and strengthen
its appeal as a destination for New Year and winter city breaks.
