CYRILLIC AS PART OF CULTURAL IDENTITY
"The Heart Writes in Cyrillic" is much more than a handwriting competition. It highlights the importance of preserving the Cyrillic script as one of the distinctive elements of cultural identity, while also celebrating the beauty of handwriting at a time when digital communication is increasingly replacing traditional pen-and-paper writing.
The strong interest shown by children and young people is particularly encouraging. Their participation demonstrates that Cyrillic has a future and that appreciation for one's native script can be nurtured from an early age.
"Thank you to all participants for sharing our mission of preserving cultural heritage," representatives of the Museum of Republika Srpska stated, congratulating all the award winners.
