FRESHWAVE FESTIVAL BROUGHT GENERATIONS TOGETHER WITH AN ENERGY FOUND NOWHERE ELSE

The third and final festival night in Banja Luka brought the 14th edition of Freshwave Festival to a close, after three days during which the historic Kastel Fortress was transformed into a meeting point for music, energy and people of different generations.

The programme unfolded across three festival stages, with rock, hip-hop, alternative and electronic sounds filling the walls of Kastel. Audiences of all ages shared the same space and rhythm, bringing this year’s festival theme, “Nexus”, fully to life.

Nexus represents a connection, a meeting point and a place where different directions come together to form a single whole. That was exactly the image Freshwave created at Kastel over three nights, connecting performers and audiences, different musical genres, old and new songs, and generations that filled the festival grounds from the evening hours until the early morning.

THE FINAL NIGHT CELEBRATED MUSICAL DIVERSITY

The third night on the Main Stage was opened by Kosnik, followed by Vojko V. The concert programme concluded with a performance by Buč Kesidi, whose songs combined the band’s distinctive energy with the atmosphere of the festival’s final night.

After midnight, the Main Stage shifted towards electronic music, delivering the kind of finale that the last night of Freshwave deserved. Nebs Jack then took over the stage, while DJ Jock marked the final hours of the 14th edition of Freshwave with his set.

While concerts and electronic performances alternated on the Main Stage, the programme continued simultaneously across the festival’s two other stages.

Each stage had its own sound and identity, yet they were connected by the same audience energy. Throughout the night, festivalgoers moved between performers and genres, creating a dynamic atmosphere across the entire Kastel complex.

THREE DAYS, THREE STAGES AND ONE SHARED ENERGY

From the opening performance to the final set, the Freshwave audience was far more than a passive observer. Singing together, dancing and exchanging energy with performers created a strong sense of belonging and togetherness throughout the festival.

That is where the essence of this year’s Freshwave can be found. “Nexus” was not merely the festival’s visual and thematic concept — it became its central message: connecting people through music.

For three nights, the walls of Kastel Fortress brought together thousands of people of different ages, musical tastes and interests. Whether they came for live concerts, hip-hop or electronic sets, everyone became part of the same festival story.

With the final morning beats, another edition of Freshwave Festival came to an end. However, the energy created between the three stages and thousands of visitors remains the strongest confirmation of the idea behind this year’s festival: music connects people, and for three nights, everyone can become part of the same shared pulse.
