The visit was organized by the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of the Republic of Srpska and included representatives from schools in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Subotica, Pančevo, Valjevo and Užice.

According to the organizers, the visit was designed as an informative and educational tour, giving guests an opportunity to learn more about the tourism and economic potential of the Banja Luka region and the wider Republic of Srpska. Principals and teachers from vocational schools showed particular interest in touring the brewery facilities.

“We want to organize as many visits as possible in the future that combine tourism with an educational component. The strong interest and excellent response confirm that there is significant potential for this type of program. We are pleased that the Ministry of Tourism and the Tourist Organization of Banja Luka recognize the Banja Luka Brewery as an essential destination,” said Andrea Lizdek, Marketing Manager of Banjalučka Pivara.

Predrag Tešić, Assistant Minister for Trade and Tourism in the Government of the Republic of Srpska, emphasized the importance of promoting domestic brands.

“Today we are visiting one of the recognizable industrial facilities and brands of Banja Luka and the Republic of Srpska. The Banja Luka Brewery has built a strong reputation in Serbia as well, where Nektar beer is very popular. Activities like this should become a continuous practice in order to further promote our domestic products. I would like to see our Banja Luka beer Nektar available in every bar—not only in the Republic of Srpska but in Serbia as well,” Tešić said.

Representatives of the tourism sector from Serbia also expressed satisfaction with the visit.

“We were very pleased to visit the facilities of the Banja Luka Brewery. Many people who have visited Banja Luka have special memories of this city and its brewery. These kinds of visits are extremely interesting because they allow people to see how a product they consume every day is made. After that, enjoying the finished product becomes even more special,” said Ivan Gavrilović, manager of the Fantast Travel & Service travel agency.

Today, Banjalučka Pivara is one of the key attractions for visitors coming to Banja Luka who want to learn more about the city’s beer-brewing tradition spanning more than 152 years.
