Photographer Mladen Trivunić recently visited Mount Kozara, bringing back a stunning winter photo postcard captured at Mrakovica. Using drone photography, Trivunić revealed the magical beauty of a winter landscape that perfectly reflects the peaceful and untouched nature of this mountain.
Through
his lens, Kozara emerges as a symbol of natural richness and harmony, but also
as an easily accessible and gentle mountain ideal for visitors of all ages.
Surrounded by the rivers Sava, Una, Vrbas and Sana, Kozara is often described
as a natural air spa, known for its unique ability to stimulate the
regeneration of red blood cells.
This
mountain offers a place where visitors can truly breathe freely and enjoy the
serene atmosphere of dense forests and breathtaking landscapes. Beyond its
natural beauty, Kozara also carries deep historical significance. It is widely
known for the heroic battles fought here in the struggle for freedom during the
Second World War.
On
April 6, 1967, Kozara was officially declared a National Park, with the goal of
preserving numerous historical monuments, protecting its exceptional natural
beauty, and promoting tourism while creating ideal conditions for rest,
recreation, and outdoor activities.
Today,
Kozara remains one of the most cherished natural treasures of the region — a
place where history, nature, and tranquility meet in perfect harmony.
