Nikola Kokić, the spokesperson for the Tourist Organization of Trebinje, stated that accommodation occupancy in Trebinje has reached record levels for the May Day and Easter holidays.
Kokić highlighted that this indicates Trebinje's appeal as a destination for visits during the May Day and Easter holidays.
- We have been fortunate with the weather conditions, and the fact that this year the religious and May Day holidays coincide has worked in our favor, he assessed.
According to him, the majority of tourists visiting Trebinje are from the region, including Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, as well as foreign tourists such as those from China.
- This is a clear indication that Trebinje has positioned itself on the world tourism map and is attractive to people from the region and beyond, Kokić stated.
He emphasized that the May Day holidays have become a sort of brand for those who discover Trebinje as a destination, highlighting numerous reasons to visit the southernmost city in Republika Srpska.
- Some of the attractive locations include the summer garden Platani, 'Hercegovačka kuća', the green market, the city's monument heritage, the city park, the old town center, the Hercegovačka Gračanica Monastery, and more, Kokić added.
He also mentioned that the surrounding excursion sites are attractive for visits, expecting places like Studenac and Ubla to be popular destinations for May Day.
