A Cooperation Agreement has been signed between the Tourist Organization of the City of Banja Luka and the Municipality of Jezero, laying the foundation for long-term regional cooperation in tourism, with a focus on connecting and jointly promoting the tourism potential of both local communities.
The agreement aims to strengthen the exchange
of knowledge, information and experience, develop new integrated tourism
products and create joint promotional activities and market opportunities.
CONNECTING URBAN AND RURAL TOURISM
By combining Banja Luka’s offer of urban,
cultural and event tourism with the natural attractions and potential for
eco-tourism and adventure tourism in Jezero, the partners aim to create a more
diverse and attractive offer for both domestic and international visitors.
Minja Šurlan, Director of the Tourist
Organization of the City of Banja Luka, said the agreement opens new
opportunities for improving tourism infrastructure and promotion.
“Connecting with local communities in our
surroundings is extremely important for creating a comprehensive tourism offer.
The Municipality of Jezero has exceptional natural resources and tourism
potential that perfectly complement Banja Luka’s offer.
“Through joint work and the exchange of
experience, we will create new reasons for tourists to visit and extend their
stay in our region. As the Tourist Organization of the City of Banja Luka, we
will support the promotion of Jezero’s tourism potential through our
promotional activities, as well as through presentations at tourism fairs and
other events,” Šurlan said.
She added that, until a tourist organization
is established in Jezero, Banja Luka will provide space for joint presentations
of the municipality’s tourism offer.
“We believe that the best results are achieved
through cooperation, partnership and mutual support,” Šurlan said.
JEZERO SEEKS STRONGER PRESENCE ON THE TOURISM MARKET
Snežana Ružičić, Mayor of Jezero, emphasized
the importance of support from Banja Luka’s tourist organization in promoting
local tourism capacities and presenting the municipality to a wider market.
“Cooperation with Banja Luka, as the leading
tourism centre in the region, is of great importance to us. Through this agreement,
we have an opportunity to jointly promote our potential, develop new tourism
content and attract more visitors interested in nature, relaxation and
adventure,” Ružičić said.
The agreement also underlines the commitment
of both sides to strengthening regional connections and supporting sustainable
tourism development.
The partnership is expected to provide a
foundation for future joint projects and contribute to the promotion of the
culture, tradition and natural beauty of this part of Republika Srpska.
