The development concept envisages a phased expansion of the airport, allowing its infrastructure and facilities to grow in line with passenger numbers, new flights, tourism and economic development.

The concept is part of a feasibility study prepared by Israeli architects Asaf Mann and Amir Mann from Mann Shinar Architects & Planners. The study was provided to Republika Srpska as a gift from Israel.

According to the presented plans, the airport is designed to accommodate a significant increase in passenger traffic while becoming an important gateway for Banjaluka and Republika Srpska.

The project is also expected to support tourism, trade and business development by improving air connectivity with European and other destinations.

The feasibility study will define the technical solutions, investment priorities, estimated costs and possible financing models for the future development of Banjaluka Airport.
