At the "Film Campus," which will be held next week in Pale, two contemporary feature and documentary films will be presented, and students from Serbia, Montenegro, and Republika Srpska will have the opportunity to learn from ten lecturers from the region, said Snježan Lalović, Director of the Kinoteka of Republika Srpska.
Lalović mentioned that the lecturers are eminent experts and film professionals such as Aleksandra Božović, Nemanja Vojinović, Nebojša Dugalić, Aleksandar Erdeljanović, Lordan Zafranović, Goran Ikonić, Jadranka Nanić Jovanović, Jugoslav Pantelić, Goran Radovanović, and Slobodan Simojlović.
He highlighted that, in addition to evening film screenings, lectures for students will be organized daily from 9 AM to 2 PM, as well as screenings of student films.
- The lectures will be diverse, filled with illustrations. These are masterclasses where students will learn about directing, acting, production, and other film-related topics that are very interesting to them. During the masterclasses, students will have the opportunity to ask about things they may not hear about during regular lectures, said Lalović, as reported by Srna.
Lalović announced that the 13th "Film Campus" will be officially opened on Monday at 7 PM in the Cultural Center of Pale, followed by the screening of the feature film "Bauk" directed by Goran Radovanović.
He added that all the films screened in the evening sessions have been awarded at this year's or last year's festivals and are of recent production.
- From Tuesday to Thursday, October 15-17, the evening sessions will feature screenings of the films 'The Land Is Not My Home' directed by Slobodan Simojlović, 'Alive and Well' by Ivan Marinović, and 'The Bottlers' by Nemanja Vojinović, whose film will close this year's 'Campus', said Lalović.
Boris Čvoro, a film archivist at the Kinoteka of Republika Srpska, stated that the guests of the Kinoteka at this year's "Campus" will be students from art academies in Serbia, Montenegro, and Republika Srpska.
Čvoro specified that 40 students are coming, from the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka, the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje, and the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of East Sarajevo, all from various departments.
- These are students from departments such as dramaturgy, production, camera, editing, visual effects, theater studies, and journalism, said Čvoro.
He also noted that within the "Film Campus," student film screenings will be held in the Cultural Center cinema in Pale during the daytime sessions, providing an opportunity for students to showcase their work to their colleagues and lecturers.
Čvoro added that Nemanja Vojinović's documentary film "The Bottlers" won the award for best documentary over 50 minutes and best cinematography at the 71st Martovski Festival in Belgrade, as well as the "Heart of Sarajevo" award for best documentary at this year's Sarajevo Film Festival.
