We are breaking old records and setting new milestones in tourism, bringing increasing revenue to the Republic of Srpska. Every invested mark is paying off multiple times.
New tourist potentials are being unlocked, recognized by
tourists from all over the world. They only have words of praise and always
return.
After four years of hard work, the Igrišta Ski Center near
Vlasenica, with an investment of 36 million KM, is about to open.
This project holds immense potential for the entire region,
including Bijeljina, Zvornik, Vlasenica, Han Pijesak, and Sokolac.
The work has been carried out according to the highest
global standards. It's not just a six-seater cable car; there are also new
infrastructural investments, with the most challenging being water supply.
Everything is ready for the upcoming official opening.
"The cable car route is seven kilometers long, enhanced
by a 30 cubic meter lake," said Dejan Ljevnaić, director of the Olympic
Center Jahorina.
This development is also a way for local residents to start their own businesses, focusing on the production of local food, juices, and teas, as these are what tourists seek. Many young people will find employment here.
Jahorina is also an unmissable summer destination, recording
record revenues and the most successful summer season ever, as confirmed by
numerous tourists.
"We have been coming here for years; everything is
beautifully arranged. We walk, the temperature is pleasant, and we hope to come
again next year," said Anđelko Čvoro, one of Jahorina's visitors.
Banja Luka is also breaking all records in terms of tourist
numbers. For Europeans arriving here, must-see attractions include rafting on
the Vrbas River, nearby rural households, healing spas, and the local culinary
offerings.
"Tourists are particularly interested in the nighttime
dajak boat rides, the illuminated Kastel fortress, and the authentic wines from
Krajina," says Sanela Šimun from the Tourist Organization of the Republic
of Srpska.
Tourists say they will return to Banja Luka because of its
natural beauty and cultural offerings.
Trebinje has recorded around 20% more overnight stays in the
first seven months of this year compared to last year. Religious tourism, old
architecture, adventure activities, swimming spots, stopovers on the way to the
sea, and excellent wines all attract tourists from around the world.
It’s no exaggeration to say that every summer in Trebinje, a bed is always in high demand.
"A bed is in high demand from this weekend until the
end of August. There are no available rooms in hotels, and there are very few
in private accommodation. Those planning to visit should book the remaining
capacities as soon as possible," urges Bojan Vučurević, head of tourism,
environmental protection, and entrepreneurship for the City of Trebinje.
All this shows that tourism is bringing increasing revenue
to the Republic of Srpska and that every invested mark is paying off multiple
times.
