In a city of sun, stone and wine, beneath the canopies of centuries-old plane trees — the symbol of Trebinje — wine, food and friendship will once again meet this spring.
The
third edition of the Wine Fine Trebinje festival will be held on May 2,
confirming the continuity and growing reputation of an event that continues to
raise the standards of the regional wine and gastronomy scene.
The heart of the festival
This
year, as before, the festival will place special focus on small family-owned
wineries, giving them the opportunity to present their wines to a wider
audience and establish direct contact with visitors.
“The
goal of the festival is not only to promote wine, spirits and food, but also to
create a space for direct interaction between winemakers and visitors —
conversations about grape varieties, terroir, production processes and family
tradition. Through this immediate encounter, the public learns how outstanding
wines are created and how much knowledge, effort and passion stand behind every
bottle,” the organizers told Hedonist magazine.
According
to the organizers, this philosophy of authenticity and closeness is the
foundation of the Wine Fine concept and the reason the event continues to
position itself as an important meeting point on the regional wine and
gastronomy map.
Program for participants
The
festival day will begin at 10 a.m. in the congress hall of SL Industry Hotel,
where exhibitors will be welcomed by the mayor of Trebinje, Mirko Ćurić, writes
Hedonist magazine.
A
press conference is scheduled for 11 a.m., while from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
the Crystal Hall of the hotel will host a professional workshop led by DIPWSET
Certified educator Ljubica Radan. The workshop, titled “Evaluating Wine Through
a Systematic Approach to Wine Tasting,” is intended for professionals and
passionate wine enthusiasts alike.
Hedonistic rituals
The
festival will officially open for visitors at 5 p.m. at Trg slobode, when the
city center transforms into an open stage of hedonism.
During
the evening program, alongside tastings of premium wines, spirits and carefully
selected food, visitors will enjoy a music program that reflects a
Mediterranean spirit and refined atmosphere. Trebinje singer-songwriters MIKI
and SEP will perform, while a DJ set will accompany the rhythm of the evening —
from relaxed melodies to a more dynamic gathering under the festival lights.
“Wine
Fine Trebinje is not just a festival — it is a meeting of people, ideas and
flavors. An ode to a lifestyle that values quality, authenticity and the
moment,” the organizers told Hedonist.
The
festival will close at 10 p.m., leaving behind another memorable evening —
under the plane trees, in a city that people always gladly return to.
