Prijedor is once again shining in full holiday spirit this December thanks to the “Prijedorska Zima 2025” festival, which brings a diverse cultural, entertainment, and family-friendly program. The manifestation began on December 2 and will last until the welcoming of the New Year 2026, with numerous events in the local theatre, museum, galleries, and the festive Winter Village on Major Zoran Karlica Square.
The
event opened on December 2 with a free children’s theatre performance of “The
Three Little Pigs,” delighting the youngest audiences. The cultural program
continued on December 8 with the opening of an exhibition by Katarina
Nedeljković at the Museum of Kozara, followed by a lecture on December 10 by
museum curator Aleksandar Bandović titled “War Does Not Change My Husband.”
Children
enjoyed a creative workshop, “While Snowflakes Fall, Make a Wish,” on December
12, while theatre lovers will have the chance to see the play “Everything We
Couldn’t Say” on December 14. The “Sreten Stojanović” Gallery will host the traditional
Christmas Cake Festival “Česnica” on December 16, followed by a comic magazine
promotion and exhibition of comic art on December 17.
Music takes center stage on December 22 and 23 with concerts by students of the “Savo Balaban” Music School.
On December 26, Major Zoran Karlica Square will transform into a place of magic with illusionist Darko’s New Year show, while the gallery will feature opera soloists from the National Theatre in Belgrade and the Serbian National Theatre from Novi Sad in the performance of “Cinderella.”
Family
cinema days at Kozara Cinema are scheduled for December 27 and 28, featuring
free screenings of animated and family films: “A Christmas Story,” “Miracle on
34th Street,” “Klaus,” and “Elf.”
A
highlight of the festival is the Winter Village, officially opening on December
26 with a concert by Dejan Čulum. The festivities continue on December 27 with
the band “Bećari,” followed by a performance on December 28 by Miloš Zec and
the “Sky Glory” accordion orchestra, along with a DJ set by Marko Kralj. A
special children’s program is planned for December 29 with Santa Claus and the
distribution of New Year’s gifts, while Mišo Banjac and Remix Band will
entertain visitors in the evening.
As the
year draws to a close, Romana Panić will perform on December 30. The grand New
Year’s Eve celebration on December 31 will feature a DJ performance by Marko
Kralj from 8 p.m., followed by the band “Rikaveri,” with the highlight of the

With
its rich and varied program, Prijedor once again confirms its status as one of
the most vibrant cities during the winter holidays, offering everything from
cultural events and concerts to family film screenings and lively outdoor
festivities.
“Experience
the New Year atmosphere with entertainment for all generations and enjoy
delicious treats prepared by local restaurateurs. Be part of the holiday
magic,” the Prijedor Tourist Organization announced.
