THE MONTH OF FIGHTING STEREOTYPES IS OVER, BUT THE FIGHT NEVER ENDS

Although the Month of Fighting Stereotypes is behind us, it should never truly end! This powerful message was sent out by the agency Aquarius during their #nisamSTEREOTIP campaign, which over the past month united many women from the region to loudly and clearly declare that they do not fit into any imposed frameworks, constraints, or others' expectations.

THE MONTH OF FIGHTING STEREOTYPES IS OVER, BUT THE FIGHT NEVER ENDS

The campaign was launched with the goal of further reminding, raising awareness, and educating the public that it is time for individuals and society as a whole to rise above stereotypes. Every woman facing judgment should be encouraged to publicly declare #nisamSTEREOTIP.

"Throughout the month, we repeatedly highlighted the issue of stereotypes about women, which unfortunately are still very present, not just in our society. By speaking out, we aimed for all of us to become better, more tolerant, and less judgmental. Simply put, through this campaign, we sought to remind and draw attention to the situations many women face and struggle with daily, which should become a thing of the past," explained representatives from Aquarius.

Through stories about red lipstick, tattoos, high heels, long nails, and fishnet stockings, the #nisamSTEREOTIP campaign directed public attention towards confronting judgmental or offensive attitudes and actions. This campaign is our contribution to society, stated Aquarius, something we have offered to the public in Bosnia and Herzegovina, believing it is our duty as a socially responsible agency.

"We are grateful to all sponsors and media who recognized the importance of this campaign and supported us. We believe that socially responsible activities should be our collective way to improve the community in which we operate and live, as well as our common goal. None of us can do much alone, especially when it comes to fighting stereotypes or discrimination, but united we are stronger and more prepared to work for the betterment of our society, giving our best," added Aquarius representatives.

This campaign, which is a continuation of last year's campaign titled SNIŽENA, was supported by many women from the public sphere, sharing content on social media with the hashtag #nisamSTEREOTIP and spreading the word about this important topic. Additionally, gift packages containing some "stereotypical" women's products and badges featuring the goddess Mokoš, the symbol of this and future similar campaigns signed by Aquarius, were sent to hundreds of addresses across the region.
