Starting in the spring of 2026, passengers will be able to travel directly from Banja Luka Airport in Mahovljani to Stuttgart, thanks to a new air route operated by Wizz Air.
The
information was confirmed to Glas Srpske by representatives of Airports of
Republika Srpska, who stated that the route is scheduled to operate from April
16 to May 19.
Airport
management plans to negotiate in the coming period to ensure the route remains
active beyond this initial timeframe. Currently, Wizz Air already operates
flights from Mahovljani to Stockholm, Dortmund, and Basel, while Ryanair
connects Banja Luka Airport with Gothenburg, Memmingen, Karlsruhe, and Vienna.
Airports
of Republika Srpska announced ambitious plans for passenger traffic growth this
year, with a total of 4,830 flights and 497,632 passengers expected. This
represents an increase of 3.63 percent compared to the number of passengers
transported in 2025.
During
the main tourist season, from May to September, charter flights to Turkey,
Egypt, and Greece are planned, along with the introduction of one new charter
route, according to the annual plan of Airports of Republika Srpska.
