The International Multireligious and Intercultural Center “Zajedno”, in cooperation with the National Library “Branko Radičević”, is organizing a Poetry Evening, which will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m., at the National Library in Derventa.
This cultural event is being organized to mark 60 years of cultural work by Fadil Pelesić, 35 years of activity of the International Multireligious and Intercultural Center “Zajedno” in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as 25 years of its work in Derventa.
The program will feature poetry by some of the most prominent South Slavic poets, including Pero Zubac, Desanka Maksimović, Dobriša Cesarić, Miroslav Antić, Abdulah Sidran, Laza Kostić, and Aleksa Šantić, along with works by many other authors. A special place in the program will be dedicated to local poets, among them Slavko Pokrajac.
The organizers emphasize that the aim of the evening is to promote the mother tongue, poetry, and cultural dialogue, and they invite all lovers of the written word to attend this event.
