BUSIJA – A MAJEVICA OASIS FOR ESCAPING EVERYDAY LIFE

Here you are welcomed by a true little air spa: pine and beech forests, springs of healthy drinking water, mountain vegetation, the scent of herbs, and the constant birdsong. All of this creates an atmosphere that quickly reminds you how little is needed for a perfect rest.

Busija is easy to reach — 48 kilometers from Bijeljina, 25 kilometers from Tuzla and Ugljevik, and 18 kilometers from Lopare. A five-kilometer local road connects the site with the main Bijeljina–Tuzla route, making it an ideal destination for a one-day getaway.

Majevica as we rarely see it

Mount Majevica is rich in natural resources that have not yet been fully used as tourist potential. That is exactly why Busija has a special charm — here nature still sets the pace, and peace and silence become a luxury taken for granted.

The initiative to develop this picnic area was launched by the eco-association “Viva Natura” from Podgora, a village located at the foot of the site. Their idea was simple — to preserve nature and open it to people who want to experience it in the right way.

Zelena Brda – where days last longer

Busija’s special atmosphere is enriched by the restaurant “Zelena Brda.” Among tall trees, in a warm and secluded setting, it is a place that invites you to pause and look into the distance.

Zelena Brda is a small oasis on Majevica where time seems to slow down and every sunset lasts a little longer. The wooden terrace, fresh mountain air, and forest silence create an atmosphere ideal for resting the body and resetting the mind.
