Organized by the Youth Organization “Jezerine” and the National Library “Vladimir Gaćinović,” with strong support from the local community, numerous volunteers, and sports clubs, the festival turned the park into a vibrant playground of laughter and energy.

Over fifty recreational activities were spread throughout the park, offering children the opportunity to showcase their agility, enthusiasm, and teamwork. Helping them along the way were coaches, sports workers, and volunteers from clubs and associations based in Bileća and surrounding towns.

The festival became a true celebration of childhood – with workshops, competitions, dancing, singing, and performances, the park echoed with laughter and positive energy.

The highlight of the day was the appearance of Tijana Bošković, a world-renowned volleyball player and pride of Bileća, who supported the event as a sports ambassador and promoter of a healthy lifestyle. Her presence inspired the children and emphasized the importance of sports in early development.

Weeks of preparation led up to the event, including a major cleanup and beautification effort in Bećaruša Park. The community came together – including military personnel, cultural and tourism workers, public service employees, and many citizens – to ensure the space was clean, safe, and welcoming for families.

The festival drew families from Bileća, neighboring municipalities, and guests from Serbia, signaling its immediate success as a significant regional event. Sports organizations from Bileća and Trebinje also took part, enriching the program and encouraging cross-community engagement.

This event proved the power of unity when investing in the future – our children. As reported by Padrino.ba, organizers announced that the Children’s Festival will become an annual tradition. Judging by the turnout and enthusiastic reactions, this marks the beginning of a beautiful story that is sure to grow with each passing year.
