BANJALUKA TRANSFORMED INTO AN OPEN-AIR STAGE

Banjaluka is buzzing with energy as street performers take over the city’s heart from June 9 to 15 during the Trotoart Street Performers Festival. The streets of the largest city in Republika Srpska have become a vibrant stage for nearly 400 artists — the highest number of participants in the festival’s history.

BANJALUKA TRANSFORMED INTO AN OPEN-AIR STAGE

Just like in previous years, this edition of Trotoart offers a unique and diverse program for all generations. The highlight of the festival will take place on Saturday, June 14, when visitors can expect a magical street spectacle performed by the renowned French troupe Remue-Ménage from Paris.

Known for blending dance, theater, circus, music, puppetry, and kinetic sculptures, Remue-Ménage creates enchanting street frescoes that captivate audiences.

“Their performance Revue de Rue will transport us to the golden era of Parisian cabaret in the 1920s — full of life, glamour, and the sparkling energy of champagne,” said Milada Šukalo, project manager for the City of Banjaluka.

The festival also features a rich program for children and young people, including creative workshops, live music, comic book art, dance, and a variety of other entertaining activities.

In addition, the event will showcase performances by tamburitza players, choirs, painters, dancers, street musicians, living statues, and bands that will breathe life into every corner of the city on the Vrbas River.
