British magazine Time Out has published a list of the ten most affordable ski resorts in Europe, ranking Bjelašnica, a popular ski destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina near Sarajevo, as the most budget-friendly option.
The Babin Do ski area on Bjelašnica is well known for its high-quality slopes, ideal for both experienced skiers and beginners, as well as for its breathtaking winter landscapes.
"Extremely Affordable"
"It is located on the northern slopes of Bjelašnica Mountain above Sarajevo and offers a total of 14.3 km of trails. Sound familiar? That's because it hosted the 1984 Winter Olympics. Despite its fame and diverse slopes catering to both novice and expert skiers, this resort remains extremely affordable – so much so that it has earned a spot on the list of the world's most budget-friendly ski resorts," Time Out reports.
According to the magazine, "The price of a daily ski pass for adults in the 2025 season is 25 euros, while for teenagers aged 13 to 18, it ranges from 20 to 30 euros. A standard season pass for adults costs 409 euros, while for teenagers, it is priced at 214 euros."
In addition to Bjelašnica, other well-known ski resorts that made the list include Borovets in Bulgaria, Vogel-Bohinj in Slovenia, and Livigno in Italy.
