The Tourist Organization of Republika Srpska is taking part in the International Tourism Fair “Natur Alpe-Adria” in Ljubljana from February 4 to 7, an event primarily dedicated to nature lovers and adventure tourism enthusiasts. According to representatives of the organization, this year’s presentation will place a special focus on adventure-based tourism offerings.
Sanela Šimun, Public Relations Associate at the Tourist Organization of Republika Srpska, stated that Republika Srpska is presenting its offer at an independent exhibition stand. In line with the fair’s concept, particular emphasis will be given to adventure tourism products such as rafting, canyoning, hiking, cycling, the Jahorina mountain resort, the Kozara and Sutjeska national parks, the Pecka Visitor Center, and the Šipovo Eco-Zone.
Šimun also noted that the stand of the Tourist Organization of Republika Srpska will feature attractive tourism programs presented by local tourist organizations from Banja Luka, Nevesinje, Prijedor, Bijeljina, Foča, Novi Grad, and Srebrenica. In addition, the offer will be enriched by Terme “Ozren,” travel agencies “Zepter” and “Unis,” as well as the Banja Luka-based “Marriott” hotel.
FOCUS ON FESTIVALS AND CITY BREAKS
“Special emphasis will also be placed on festival tourism, city break destinations, as well as religious and spa tourism,” Šimun said.
She emphasized that promotion at this fair is of great importance, given the significant number of visitors to Republika Srpska coming from Slovenia.
“Tourists from Slovenia have for many years been among the top foreign visitors in terms of arrivals and overnight stays. In the past year alone, they ranked third with 89,378 overnight stays, just behind tourists from Serbia and Croatia,” Šimun added.
