As part of the 6th International Tourism Fair in Banja Luka, an expert panel titled “Regional Tourism – Experiences, Mistakes, Opportunities” was held, bringing together representatives of tourism organizations, institutions, and businesses from across the region.
The panel focused on the exchange of experiences and the analysis of current practices in the development of the tourism sector, with particular emphasis on the challenges destinations have faced in recent years. Participants highlighted the importance of learning from past mistakes, as well as the need for strategic planning and adaptation to contemporary market trends.
Creating Joint Tourism Products
Among the panelists was the Director of the Public Institution Tourist Organization of the City of Banja Luka, Minja Šurlan, who emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and joint promotion on international markets as a key factor for further growth and strengthening competitiveness.
The discussion also focused on new opportunities for connecting tourism destinations, creating joint tourism products, and improving the overall regional offer.
The expert panel attracted significant attention from fair visitors, confirming that regional cooperation remains one of the most important issues for the sustainable development of tourism.
