Imagine visiting some of the destinations on your bucket list without breaking the bank.
Although this may seem like an impossible mission, travel blogger Kevin Dronijak has managed to do just that thanks to his one-day trips.
He has become recognizable on social media for videos showing him traveling around the world – from France to Egypt – all within just 24 hours.
This 27-year-old content creator seems to have found the trick with micro-traveling, managing to make the most of every moment and every dollar. Whether he spends a few hours on a beach in Puerto Rico or goes skiing in the Colorado mountains, Dronijak refuses to let time constraints or distance hold him back.
"I just want to break the stigma that you need an entire week to travel somewhere. If you want to go somewhere and don’t have the time to take a day off from work – you can literally travel for one day. It’s possible," he recently said in an interview with People.
In one of his more recent videos, Dronijak documented his one-day trip to Puerto Rico – his flight left at 6 a.m., landed in San Juan at 11, and then he returned home to New York around midnight.
"This makes sense to me because the flight is only three and a half hours, and the beach I’m going to is only 30 minutes from the airport," he explained in the video.
When he arrived at the beach, it was raining as he spoke to the camera: "It’s definitely not a beach day, but we’ll make the most of it because I only have seven hours before my return flight."
He mentioned that accepting unpredictable weather conditions is key for one-day trips, which paid off for him – the sun soon broke through.
"I’m so grateful to be here. It’s incredible to think that just a few hours ago I was walking the cold streets of New York, and now I’m completely alone on a deserted beach," he said, as the camera captured a wide shot of the Caribbean coastline.
Dronijak’s unique approach to these short getaways reflects his positive outlook on life. He emphasizes that his way of traveling shows that you don’t need much to experience something special.
He often travels solo and enjoys spending at least one day in a new place. He explains that the trick to getting the most out of such short trips is not over-planning down to the smallest details. He prefers to enjoy the moment without feeling rushed.
