This energetic four-piece from Sinj is known for its distinctive fusion of alternative rock, blues and punk, as well as for a raw sound and emotionally charged, socially engaged lyrics. Over more than a decade of continuous work, M.O.R.T. has built a reputation as one of the most authentic bands on the regional music scene, while their concerts are widely recognized for their powerful atmosphere and honest, direct energy.

Speaking to SeeSrpska, band frontman Ivan Katić – John expressed a strong emotional connection to Banja Luka, emphasizing that the city holds a special place for the band.

“We adore this city. At one point, we even seriously considered moving to Banja Luka,” Katić said, adding that he hopes to return many more times in the future.

Reflecting on broader social issues, the M.O.R.T. frontman delivered a sharp and uncompromising message, characteristic of the band’s worldview and lyrical approach.

“Ignore the nonsense they keep feeding us — we need to move away from the cult of self,” John stated.

With their powerful live presence and clear artistic stance, M.O.R.T. continue to stand out as a band that refuses to conform, using music as a platform for authenticity, critical thinking and genuine connection with the audience.
