THIS IS HOW DUČIĆ, ANDRIĆ, AND KOČIĆ WOULD LOOK TODAY

Twenty-six-year-old Marko Karan from Šipovo, who dabbles in graphic design as a hobby, has created incredible depictions of how famous Serbian writers would look in today's world.

THIS IS HOW DUČIĆ, ANDRIĆ, AND KOČIĆ WOULD LOOK TODAY

With the help of virtual imagination, he showed us how Ivo Andrić, Jovan Dučić, and Petar Kočić would appear today.

"Jovan Dučić, the famous poet, essayist, and seducer, would probably be fascinated by advanced technology and the speed of information spreading through social media today. Dučić would have the opportunity to publish his poems, views, and thoughts on social media, strongly influencing societal development. His subtle and elegant words would undoubtedly have a strong impact on followers, so we can imagine him as an influential cultural influencer in today's society," Karan told the SeeSrpska portal, explaining how he envisions this Serbian writer and diplomat.

As for Ivo Andrić, the Nobel Prize winner for Literature in 1961, Karan thinks he would be interested in journalism today, where he could follow, write, and comment on social trends. Karan imagines that Andrić, with his modest restraint, would strive to reconcile any possible conflicting individual in society. However, with his sharp mind and literary talent, Karan has no doubt that he would become one of the most respected columnists in the region.

"Petar Kočić, the renowned writer, politician, and people's tribune, would undoubtedly seize every opportunity and principle of today's democracy in society. His revolutionary views and aspirations for societal improvement, as well as his political ideas, would be very relevant today and attract a lot of public attention. As an exceptionally intelligent and free-minded person, we have no doubt he would be a leader of some opposition party today," Karan explained why these characters look like that in his depiction.

Marko says that images created using artificial intelligence have many flaws, so he corrected facial features, eye color, and deviant elements in Photoshop.

"I strive to keep up with technological progress, so half a year ago, I started experimenting with a combination of graphic design and artificial intelligence, which allows us to create various photos with many creative ideas. So I created these photos using that, because I somehow had the idea to show how our writers, who were really symbols of their time and highly influential in society and had great popularity, would look today in our society," Marko explains.

Marko, an undergraduate student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Banja Luka, says that the idea for graphic design came two years ago as a hobby because he learned to model 3D parts, objects, cars, and the like at university, which later evolved into creating logos, brochures, promotional flyers, and similar things.

This young creative designer lives in Šipovo and says he plans to stay there.
