Under the guidance of Ivana Čegar, who passionately leads the "Mali Baštovani" project, the youngsters learn important lessons and skills necessary for producing healthy food through play and fun.

- Our young school friends regularly visit our colorful garden, and then they hear many more interesting stories about the plant world that inhabits the beautiful botanical garden, said Čegar.

- Teachers will have the opportunity, outside of the 'Mali Baštovani' project, to come with children and hold classes in the garden, which we have equipped with chairs, benches, and a large school board.

She emphasized that they organize free gardening workshops every year, aimed at children aged two to ten. She explained that the children do everything involved in a garden, from planting seeds to harvesting.

- Children plant everything in the garden, and then we teach them how to take care of these plants, how to protect, preserve, and maintain them, Čegar explained.

Additionally, they are taught not only gardening but also housekeeping skills, such as cleaning up after themselves, not littering, painting fences, and making paths.
