In celebration of Derventa City Day on August 28, the Public Library “Branko Radičević” has launched a photo contest titled “OUR CITY IN A NEW LIGHT,” inviting citizens to submit the most beautiful photograph capturing the evolving face of Derventa.
“We invite all citizens, photography enthusiasts, and those who cherish our hometown to participate by sending us their original photos that showcase the beauty and transformation of our city — new facades, renovated streets, squares, parks, and everything that reflects how Derventa is growing and becoming more modern,” said representatives from the city library.
CONTEST RULES:
The photograph must be an original work – the participant must be the author.
The theme is the visual transformation and development of the city — new buildings, renovated facades, and improved public spaces.
Photos must be submitted by mail to Trg oslobođenja br. 2, printed in A4 format, or delivered in person to the Library.
The submission must include:
Envelope 1: a photo marked with a unique code name, e.g., “BLUE.”
Envelope 2: the author's full name, contact phone number, and a short photo description (location and date).
Both envelopes must be placed in one larger envelope for submission.
The contest includes two categories: children (up to 15 years) and adults. The appropriate category must be clearly marked on the envelope.
The deadline for submissions is August 20, 2025.
A professional jury will evaluate the entries. All submitted photos may be published or used for promotional purposes by the Library and will remain part of the Library’s permanent collection.
AWARDS:
The best photos will be awarded and exhibited in the Library hall and on the Library's website on City Day – August 28, 2025.
A special audience award will be given for the most beautiful photo, based on votes from exhibition visitors.
“Let’s show together how beautiful our city is and how it shines in its new attire. For more information, feel free to contact us at 053/332-961 or via email at bibliotekaderventa1@gmail.com,” the library concluded.
