HOW A PRINCESS STORY CONNECTED POLAND AND BANJA LUKA

Bringing together enthusiasts of culture, literature, and education, the Association of Poles in Banja Luka organized a roundtable titled "Cultural Heritage as Inspiration", held at the “Cepter Palace” Hotel.

HOW A PRINCESS STORY CONNECTED POLAND AND BANJA LUKA

The event featured the presentation of the second edition of the book "The Story of the Princess of Banja Luka", written by Aleksandra Savić. Participants engaged in a dynamic discussion on topics linking culture, tourism, and literature with the school curriculum and the status of national minorities. Particular attention was given to the symbolism behind the name of the fairy tale — and the city itself.

The event also highlighted the cultural ties between Poland and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As part of the program, the audio version of "The Story of the Princess of Banja Luka", published by the Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired, was promoted. In addition, the outcomes of three-month-long educational workshops held in children’s day centers Učionica, Školica, and Korak po korak were presented.

Educator Tanja Kremenović also introduced an integrated learning curriculum developed for use in multicultural and inclusive settings.

This initiative was implemented within the project "Promotion of the Identity of the Polish National Minority and the Cultural Potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina", funded by the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
