This exhibition is an enhanced version of the same-titled exhibition held in 2021, as explained by the author, who shared the inspiration behind its creation and the need to expand it with newly discovered photographs.

“This exhibition is a sort of walk through the history of our place, aimed at preserving the memory of people and events from being forgotten. While working on this exhibit, I found many valuable photographs that have never been seen by the public before. I especially want to thank the Archive of the Republic of Srpska for providing photos from the 1928-1935 period,” said Urić, as reported by Radio Srbac.

He also highlighted that the exhibition was enriched by the inclusion of notable figures from Bardača.

One of the most interesting photographs is of the ceremony where Drago Buvač presented his credentials as the Croatian ambassador to Emperor Akihito of Japan.

Among the photographs, visitors can also find images of the Bardača fishponds, the buildings where Arthur Burda, the founder of the fishponds, lived, as well as photos of fish transport from Bardača to the central market in Vienna’s port and to Haifa, a city in then-Palestine.

In addition to the exhibition, a book promotion was held for “The Villa on Čakora” by writer Neda Đukić Borojević.

The book tells the tragic story of the young Branka Đukić, who lost her life while fighting for her honor, and her death was avenged by her father. The story is set in northern Montenegro and portrays the harsh fate of the young girl.

Publicist Dragan Đurđević also spoke about the literary work.

As part of the program, there was a performance by the national guslars Vaso Drašković and Jovana Vranješ, who performed the patriotic song “Kosovski božuri.”

The organizers expressed their gratitude to all the citizens in attendance, particularly the Archive of the Republic of Srpska, the Municipality of Srbac, the Ravna Gora Movement, as well as guests from CKUD “Lepa Radić” from Gradiška.
