Pure, drinkable water with countless rapids, cascades, and waterfalls has earned the name "The Tear of Europe."
The Tara Canyon is the largest in Europe and the second deepest in the world, only behind the Grand Canyon. It has been a tourist attraction for decades. Over time, rafts have been replaced by rubber boats, and tents by mountain huts and bungalows.
The upper part of the canyon, from Đurđevića Tara to Brštanovica, is rich in endemic plant and animal species and is the most attractive section for rafting, featuring over 20 boiling rapids.

The monument, erected in memory of the fallen partisans, was created by sculptor Miodrag Živković. He was one of the first artists in the former Yugoslavia to use concrete, which was used to construct this 19-meter-high structure.
The British newspaper The Guardian recently published an interesting article about former Yugoslav landmarks, highlighting the monumental antifascist monument in Tjentište as one of the underutilized tourist potentials.
