YOUNG CHAMPION FROM BILEĆA: NINA LERO AT THE TOP OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

At the State Judo Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina for seniors and U12 cadets, held in Vitez, a total of 297 competitors from 53 clubs across the country took part. Among the most successful was Judo Club “Hercegovac–Dijamant” from Bileća, which once again confirmed its quality by winning five medals in total.

The brightest achievement for the club came from Nina Lero, who delivered a dominant performance in the U12 category, winning the gold medal and the title of Champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina. With this result, she became the most successful representative of the Bileća club at the championship.

“I am very happy about winning the gold medal. I worked hard at every training session, and in the end the effort paid off with the champion’s title. I would like to thank my coaches and the club for their constant support. I am especially proud to have represented my town in the best possible way. This award motivates me even more to continue in this sport,” said Nina Lero.

The silver medals and runner-up titles were won by Milovan Babić and Kristina Vasiljević, while Andrija Janjić and Marija Vukoje claimed bronze medals with third-place finishes. All medal winners also secured qualification for the Balkan Championship.

In the overall team standings in the cadet category, “Hercegovac–Dijamant” finished in third place, marking another important success for the club, which continues to represent Bileća with dedication through its work with young athletes.

Congratulations were extended to all competitors who qualified for the Balkan Championship, with wishes for good luck, strong performances, and new medals on the international stage, reports Bileća On Line.
