HOLIDAY SEASON BRINGS EXTENDED WORKING HOURS FOR HOSPITALITY VENUES IN BANJA LUKA

Hospitality establishments in Banja Luka, as in previous years, will operate with extended working hours during the upcoming holiday season. The City Administration has approved longer operating hours for venues from December 15 this year until January 31, 2026, with the exception of those located in residential buildings.

According to the announcement, all hospitality venues in the city — including those situated in mixed-use residential buildings (in accordance with Article 13 of the Decision) — will be allowed unlimited working hours on the following dates:

January 1, 2026

January 2, 2026

January 7, 2026

January 14, 2026

On all other days within this period, only hospitality establishments located outside residential buildings may operate beyond the standard prescribed hours. The extended schedule includes:

Restaurants, Food and Beverage Establishments, and Bars

7 a.m. – 1 a.m. on weekdays

7 a.m. – 2 a.m. on weekends (Friday and Saturday)

Venues Awarded the “Golden Spoon” Quality Mark

7 a.m. – 2 a.m. on weekdays

7 a.m. – 3 a.m. on weekends (Friday and Saturday)

Nightclubs (Disco Bars, Clubs, Night Bars)

7 p.m. – 4 a.m. on weekdays

7 p.m. – 5 a.m. on weekends (Friday and Saturday)

Event and Wedding Halls

7 a.m. – 4 a.m.

Meanwhile, hospitality venues located within residential buildings will continue to operate in accordance with regular working hours set by the Decision — 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and weekends.

Establishments in residential buildings holding the “Golden Spoon” certificate may work:

7 a.m. – 12 a.m. on weekdays

7 a.m. – 1 a.m. on weekends (Friday and Saturday)

The City Administration stated that this decision was made at the request of the Chamber of Crafts and Entrepreneurship of the Banja Luka Region, due to the increased need for extended operating hours during the New Year and other holidays marking the transition from 2025 to 2026.
