BANJA LUKA – More than 400 visitors took advantage of free preventive health check-ups and educational activities at the “Dom omladine” (Youth Center), as this year’s Health Fair 2025, organized by medical students under the SaMSIC association, once again met all expectations.
Through a series of workshops and interactive panels, students offered free blood pressure, blood sugar, and body mass index measurements, as well as mineral status testing, mental health consultations, and sexual health education sessions, among many other activities aimed at promoting preventive care.
One of the most heartwarming features of this year’s fair was the “Hospital for Ladybugs”, where more than 150 elementary school students had the chance to play the role of doctors by examining plush toys — an initiative designed to reduce children’s fear of doctors and medical environments.
The Health Fair also extended its reach beyond the Youth Center, visiting the National Theatre of Republika Srpska, where all interested employees received free medical screenings.
“We are extremely pleased with the turnout — from the general public to the theatre staff. Our goal is to make events like this a tradition because prevention truly is the foundation of health,” said Kristina Milošević, national coordinator of the SaMSIC organization.
With strong participation, educational spirit, and community engagement, Health Fair 2025 once again proved to be one of Banja Luka’s most valuable health awareness initiatives.
