Members of the legendary Sarajevo and Yugoslav band "Indexi," along with friends, will gather in memory of the prominent guitarist, composer, producer, and arranger Slobodan Bodo Kovačević, a member of the beloved group, on April 15th in Banja Luka at the Borik Sports Hall.
"At this tribute to 'Indexi,' alongside band members -
Fadil Redžić, Nenad Jurin, Pece Petej, Sinan Alimanović, and guitarist Muris
Varajić - music legends such as Vlatko Stefanovski, Branko Đurić Đuro, Boris
Novković, Seid Memić-Vajta, Dejan Cukić, Aida Mušanović Arsić, Hari Mata Hari,
Nermin Puskar, Zoran Predin, Vlado Kalember, Dado Topić, and Gabor Lenđel will
perform," organizers said.
Slobodan Bodo Kovačević penned many timeless hits for
"Indexi." His solo compositions like "Pružam ruke,"
"Plima," "Negdje na kraju u zatišju," and "Modra
rijeka," along with tracks created in collaboration with Fadil Redžić,
such as "Balada" and "Svijet u kome živim," left a profound
mark on the music scene of the former Yugoslavia.
"A trained architect, he dedicated his life to music,
and music aficionados remember him as one of the greatest guitarists of the
former state. Among other things, he participated in arranging Josipa Lisac's
first and, for many, best album, 'Dnevnik jedne ljubavi' from 1973," they
added.
Tickets for the concert in Banja Luka can be obtained at the RK Boska plaza.
The "Indexi and Friends" project started 18 years
ago, and to date, more than 30 concerts have been held in the former
Yugoslavia.
"All concerts over these 18 years have been sold out,
all halls have been filled to the last seat because this is not just a musical
spectacle but also an emotional journey through a time capsule of music that
has marked generations," said producer and conceptual creator of the
project, Tomislav Kašljević.
He also emphasized that the love for "Indexi" and
their music has been the driving force behind this project and how he has
always strived to maintain a high standard of quality, guided by the words of
the late Kornelije Kovač, a member of "Indexi."
"It's enchanting when people still sing our songs after
so many years. It shows that our songs are alive and a part of us," said
Fadil Redžić, one of the founders of the legendary "Indexi."
