This ascent marks yet another significant achievement in the series of hikes regularly organized by the association, aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and exploring the natural beauty of the region.

Čabulja is located in Herzegovina, between the Neretva River and its right tributary, the Drežanka. With its rugged, karst landscape and almost untouched wilderness, the mountain leaves a powerful impression on all who visit.

Composed mainly of Mesozoic limestone and partially of dolomite, Čabulja's distinctive terrain has also been shaped by intense Pleistocene glaciation, evident in the large moraine deposits along its southwestern foothills.

Interestingly, despite being mostly barren and waterless, Čabulja still serves as a summer pasture for herders from western Herzegovina. Scattered seasonal settlements can also be found along its slopes, reflecting the mountain’s enduring connection to traditional pastoral life.
