NEW ERA OF COOPERATION BETWEEN SKI RESORTS OF SRPSKA AND SERBIA

Representatives of the Olympic Center Jahorina and Ski Resorts of Serbia have signed a cooperation agreement, marking a new era of partnership in winter sports and tourism and confirming a shared vision — to connect the region’s largest ski centers and offer visitors a unified, higher-quality experience on the snow.

The agreement formally establishes the integration of ski passes, enabling skiers to use unified tickets across multiple mountains in the region. This will provide easier access to services, modern IT systems, and improved sales and access control, the Olympic Center Jahorina announced.

A particularly significant benefit applies to seasonal passes. All holders of seasonal passes issued by Ski Resorts of Serbia will be able to ski for three days free of charge on Jahorina and at the Igrišta ski center. Likewise, skiers with seasonal passes from Jahorina will be able to enjoy three free skiing days at the resorts managed by Ski Resorts of Serbia.

The agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Olympic Center Jahorina, Nedeljko Elek, and the Director of Ski Resorts of Serbia, Dejan Ćika, who expressed confidence that joint efforts, knowledge exchange, and shared resources can create a new dimension of ski tourism.

“Our guests will have the opportunity to explore different mountains, slopes, and experiences with a single pass,” Ćika emphasized, adding that this partnership is a step toward a modern, interconnected, and competitive regional market.

Elek noted that the agreement is more than an administrative document — it represents genuine regional unity and demonstrates that competition can grow into cooperation.

“Our joint goal is to provide visitors with the best skiing experience, modern infrastructure, and a sense of belonging to a wider ski area that connects the region,” Elek stated.

He also highlighted that the cooperation includes the Igrišta Ski Center, and that agreements with Ski Resorts of Montenegro are planned soon, with similar cooperation to be offered to partners in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“It is important to note that 54 percent of tourists visiting Jahorina come from Serbia, and it is crucial to offer them a top-tier skiing experience and additional benefits through regional cooperation,” Elek added.

In their statement, the Olympic Center Jahorina emphasized its pride in playing a key role in this project, believing that unity is the cornerstone of success in ski tourism.

“In a world full of challenges, connection and partnership have become the most valuable resources for creating a sustainable, modern, and competitive winter center — to the delight of all lovers of skiing and the mountains,” the statement reads.

The signing ceremony was also attended by Sonja Danojlić Jovanović, Executive Director for IT, Sales, and Marketing at the Olympic Center Jahorina, and Katarina Šušić, Executive Director for Organizational Support at Ski Resorts of Serbia.
