TREBINJE – The historic Old Town of Trebinje, one of the most picturesque destinations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, will once again become an open-air stage as the second edition of the EchoStone Festival takes place from August 3 to 8, 2026.
Blending world-class electronic music with centuries-old architecture and cultural heritage, the festival is rapidly establishing itself as one of the region's most distinctive summer events. The main music program will be held from August 6 to 8, featuring internationally acclaimed DJs Wild Dark, Rob Keith, Natali Satin, Marco Norma, Mick Floyd, and Francesco Theodoli from the United States, alongside Trebinje's own Royal Wolf.
Following
a successful debut in 2025, EchoStone returns with an expanded program and a
clear ambition to become a leading gathering place for electronic music
enthusiasts, international performers, local artists, and emerging DJ talent.
One of
the festival's defining ideas is its symbolic connection between Detroit, the
birthplace of techno, Chicago, the home of house music, and Trebinje, a city
renowned for its stone architecture, Mediterranean charm, and rich historical
heritage.
THREE STAGES INSIDE THE HISTORIC OLD TOW
Unlike
conventional music festivals, EchoStone transforms the Old Town itself into a
living performance venue. Ancient stone walls, squares, and narrow streets
become an integral part of the festival experience rather than simply serving
as a backdrop.
The
main performances will be spread across three unique locations:
Over
three festival nights, electronic music will resonate through the centuries-old
streets, creating a remarkable fusion of cutting-edge sound production and the
timeless atmosphere of Trebinje's historic center.
MUSIC, EDUCATION, AND TOURISM
EchoStone
will showcase carefully curated deep, melodic, and techno electronic music
while promoting collaboration between international artists, local performers,
and the next generation of DJs.
Beyond
the evening concerts, the festival week will feature a range of accompanying
events, including performances by participants of the EchoStone DJ Lab, an
educational program designed to support and develop young electronic music
artists.
According to the organizers, EchoStone is far more than a music festival—it is a cultural project that promotes Trebinje as an attractive tourism destination while celebrating creativity, heritage, and contemporary music.
"EchoStone
is not simply a festival placed inside the Old Town—it is a festival born from
that space. Its walls, squares, and streets are not decorations but an
essential part of its music and identity. We want visitors to experience
Trebinje not just as the venue, but as the main participant in this musical
journey," the organizing team said.
A FESTIVAL WHERE HISTORY MEETS MODERN SOUND
Launched
in 2025, EchoStone has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting new
festivals in Republika Srpska. By combining electronic music, historical
architecture, education, and cultural tourism, it offers visitors an experience
unlike any other in the Balkans.
With
its unique concept, EchoStone positions Trebinje as a growing destination for
music tourism, attracting visitors from across the region and beyond while
strengthening the city's international cultural profile.
The
full festival schedule and additional events will be announced in the coming
weeks through the festival's official communication channels.
