A TRADITION OLDER THAN THE MODERN OLYMPIC GAMES

Its origins date back well before the modern Olympic Games, with the first official edition held in 1875, while the oldest preserved event poster, kept in the archives of the Nevesinje Church Municipality, dates from 1891.

Horse racing, unusual traditional competitions, displays of strength, amateur and professional contests, and centuries-old customs create a festival unlike any other in the region.
