PRIJEDOR, Bosnia and Herzegovina – Prijedor is preparing to welcome one of its most anticipated cultural events of the summer as ŠA Fest 2026 returns from July 29 to August 1, offering four days of art, music, theatre, education and entertainment. With 85% of the festival program free of charge, the event once again celebrates creativity, friendship and community in the heart of the city.
Created as a tribute to friendship and a deep love for Prijedor, ŠA Fest has grown into one of the region's most distinctive cultural festivals, bringing together artists, musicians and visitors from across Bosnia and Herzegovina and neighboring countries.
The festival opens on Wednesday, July 29, with
an artistic walk through the popular ŠA Street, featuring exhibitions,
workshops and interactive activities. The visual arts program includes the
opening of the "Transposition" watercolor exhibition at the Sreten
Stojanović Gallery, showcasing works by young artists from the region and
paying tribute to the late artist Dalibor Popović Mikša.
Families will also enjoy the ŠA Kids program,
while the Art Corner will offer creative workshops, exhibitions and educational
activities throughout the day.
Wednesday evening moves to the Free Park Stage
in the Old Town Park, where local bands and guest performers from the region
and abroad will headline a series of free concerts in the festival's popular
Anti-Stress Zone.
A new addition arrives on Thursday, July 30, with the first-ever regional knowledge quiz hosted by renowned Croatian television quiz champion Krešimir Sučević Međeral. The day will also feature a beach volleyball tournament at the festival's ŠA Beach, adding a sporting dimension to the cultural celebration.
The main festival program begins on Friday,
July 31, in the Summer Garden with the acclaimed theatre performance "Nije
smešno, Žarko", written by Srđan Olman. Later that evening, the
celebration continues with free outdoor concerts featuring Elemental, Tribute
to Tattoo, special guests and friends, followed by an afterparty led by Danijel
Kević.
The grand finale takes place on Saturday,
August 1, when the Summer Garden hosts an impressive regional music lineup
including Zoster, TBF, Bad Copy, Spazam and Vatra. After the concerts, the
festival returns to the Old Town Park for another late-night celebration with
performances by Red Nine and Woodi, keeping the music going until the early
hours.
