Students from an elementary school in Trebinje visited the orchard of Danilo Škero in Pridvorci, where they spent a pleasant day in nature, socializing and enjoying the fruits of Herzegovinian cherries.
As the cherry harvest is currently underway, the children had the opportunity to pick cherries directly from the trees and discover why Herzegovinian cherries are considered among the tastiest in the region. Smiles, games, and friendship marked the visit, while the greatest excitement came from picking and tasting the fresh cherries.
An Unforgettable Experience for the Youngest Visitors
The time spent in the orchard gave the children a chance to exchange part of their school routine for outdoor activities, away from classrooms and everyday obligations. Surrounded by nature and greenery, they also enjoyed taking photographs with the medals that Škero has won over the years at numerous competitions.
Danilo Škero said he is always pleased when young visitors come to his orchard, as it gives them an opportunity to spend quality time outdoors and experience the beauty of rural life.
Numerous Awards for Quince Brandy
Škero is also widely known as a producer of premium quince brandy, for which he has won numerous gold medals over the years at festivals, fairs, and professional competitions across the countries of the former Yugoslavia.
Among his most recent achievements is a gold medal won at a competition organized at the Avala Tower in Belgrade, once again confirming the exceptional quality of his products.
For many years, the orchard in Pridvorci has been a place where high-quality Herzegovinian fruit is produced, but it has also become a welcoming destination for friends, visitors, and the youngest members of the local community.
