CICVARIJADA, LOCAL PRODUCTS AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES AT THE BILEĆA BUSINESS FAIR

The Bileća Business Fair 2026 will take place from June 19 to 21, bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, agricultural producers and numerous visitors from Herzegovina and the wider region. A special highlight of the three-day event will be the Cicvarijada, a competition dedicated to preparing one of the most famous dishes of traditional Herzegovinian cuisine.

Organizers have announced a rich program combining business, tourism, agriculture and gastronomy, with the goal of promoting local products, domestic production and the economic potential of Bileća and eastern Herzegovina.

A Meeting Point for Business and Tradition

For years, the Bileća Business Fair has served as an important platform for presenting local companies, craftsmen, agricultural producers and tourism organizations.

During the three-day event, visitors will have the opportunity to explore exhibitors’ products and services, establish new business contacts and learn more about the development potential of this part of Republika Srpska.

Special emphasis will be placed on promoting domestic production, traditional values and preserving the cultural identity of Herzegovina.

Cicvarijada on June 20

One of the most attractive events of this year's fair will be the Cicvarijada, scheduled for June 20.

Organizers invite all lovers of traditional cuisine to apply and demonstrate their culinary skills in preparing cicvara, a dish that holds a special place on the Herzegovinian table.

A prize fund has been secured for the best participants:

First Prize – 600 BAM

Second Prize – 400 BAM

Third Prize – 200 BAM

Preserving Tradition Through Gastronomy

The goal of the Cicvarijada is not only competition but also the preservation of traditional recipes and the promotion of local cuisine among younger generations.

Organizers emphasize that such events contribute to preserving cultural heritage, strengthening the tourism sector and promoting the local products for which Herzegovina is well known.
