The first Festival of Winemakers from the Republic of Srpska attracted a large number of wine enthusiasts to the picturesque Stone House at the Kastel Fortress in Banja Luka, becoming one of the highlights of the "Summer on the Vrbas 2026" programme.
An
outstanding turnout and a vibrant atmosphere marked the evening dedicated to
local wines, wine culture, and social gatherings, confirming the growing
interest in the region's expanding wine scene.
Throughout
the festival, visitors enjoyed tasting a wide selection of premium wines,
meeting local winemakers, and learning more about the rich viticultural and
winemaking traditions of the Republic of Srpska.
The event was organized in cooperation with the Association of Winegrowers and Winemakers of the Republic of Srpska, once again demonstrating that wine-themed events have an important place in the tourism and cultural offer of Banja Luka, the largest city in the Republic of Srpska.
"We
would like to thank all the winemakers, partners, and visitors who helped make
this special evening a memorable success. We look forward to welcoming everyone
again next year for more great wines, inspiring stories, and exceptional
labels," the Banja Luka Tourist Organization said.
The
successful debut of the festival highlighted the growing reputation of local
wineries and reinforced Banja Luka's position as an increasingly attractive
destination for wine tourism and gastronomic experiences.
