The Vrbas River has once again shown why it is one of Banjaluka’s greatest tourism and adventure attractions. During the Ninth Tourist Regatta, journalists from Banjaluka and Slovenia enjoyed rafting and the spectacular scenery of the Vrbas Canyon.
Visitors from Slovenia were particularly impressed by the experience.
“It was great. We had an excellent guide who safely took us through all the rapids, and we are very satisfied,” said Matjaž Markič, editor of the Slovenian travel portal “Moj kovček.”
Lidija from Ljubljana was equally enthusiastic, saying she would recommend the experience to everyone.
“You can swim, go rafting and simply enjoy the river. Everything was as I expected – and even better. The skippers were excellent,” she said.
SAFETY COMES FIRST
Snježana Mitrović, editor at Euronews BiH, highlighted the professionalism of Banjaluka’s rafting teams and their strong focus on participant safety.
Minja Šurlan, director of the Banjaluka Tourism Organization, said the regatta was a great opportunity for journalists and influencers from Slovenia to discover the city and experience rafting on the Vrbas.
VRBAS ON THE GLOBAL RAFTING MAP
Rafting Club “Kanjon” emphasized that the main goal of the event was to further promote the Vrbas River and its canyon through an authentic adventure experience.
Thanks to numerous major sporting competitions held in Banjaluka, the Vrbas has become well positioned on the international adventure rafting map.
The Ninth Tourist Regatta was supported by the City of Banjaluka.
