Podrumi Vukoje 1982 achieved a historic success at the world’s most prestigious olive oil competition – the New York International Olive Oil Competition 2026 – winning four gold medals and confirming their dominance in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.
At this global event, which gathers the best producers from around the world, the awarded oils included Leccino, Frantoio, Bianchera, and Selekcija.
All four products received the highest recognition – a gold medal – along with the prestigious Award Winner status and top ratings, further confirming the exceptional quality of Herzegovinian production.

With this result, Vukoje surpassed last year’s success, when two gold medals were won, setting new standards of quality.
Podrumi Vukoje 1982 have thus strengthened their position as the leading olive oil producer in the country and one of the most significant in the region.
The Taste of Herzegovina in Every Drop
These are premium extra virgin olive oils, produced by cold pressing hand-picked olives from groves located in Zasad Polje near Trebinje.
Each award-winning oil carries the authentic signature of Herzegovina – from aromatic notes of medicinal herbs and green almond to pronounced Mediterranean tones and a complex structure.
Pioneering Olive Groves with Over 1,000 Trees
The olive groves of Podrumi Vukoje, with more than 1,000 trees and cultivated organically, represent a pioneering project and remain among the most significant plantations in this part of Herzegovina.
Top Ranking Worldwide
According to the official ranking published by Olive Oil Times in cooperation with NYIOOC, Podrumi Vukoje 1982 rank first among domestic producers.
This result confirms that Herzegovina now stands alongside the world’s leading regions in the production of premium olive oils.
Strong Promotion on the Global Stage
This success represents not only a major achievement for the company but also a powerful promotion of Herzegovina on the global gastronomic and agricultural map.
It is also worth noting that this is not the first time olive oils from Herzegovina have been recognized in New York, as gold at the same competition was previously awarded to olive oil produced by the Tvrdoš Monastery near Trebinje.
