Lidl Bosnia and Herzegovina has launched its largest recruitment drive to date as the company continues to build its workforce ahead of the long-awaited opening of its stores across the country.
The
recruitment campaign is expected to create more than 1,000 new jobs in two
major waves, covering a large number of cities and municipalities throughout
Bosnia and Herzegovina. The process will be based on transparent selection
procedures, while the company says it will continue investing in its employees
and their professional development.
Lidl
BiH says its goal is not only to create new jobs, but also to provide future
employees with an opportunity to become part of a team building something new
from the ground up, with the security and stability of an international company
and long-term support for career development.
“By
launching these recruitment campaigns, we have started our largest, but not our
final, wave of hiring. Our goal is to add more than 1,000 new employees across
Bosnia and Herzegovina to our team of 400 colleagues. We aim to build a company
that will offer the best value for money, as well as a modern shopping
experience. We therefore invite all motivated candidates to apply, and in
respect of their time, we will provide a fast, efficient and fully transparent
selection process,” said Faruk Kovač, Head of Corporate Affairs at Lidl BiH.
LOGISTICS JOBS IN LEPENICA
From
August 1 to September 6, applications are open for 125 warehouse worker
positions at Lidl's logistics centre in Lepenica.
With state-of-the-art
logistics systems, clearly defined work processes and the latest-generation
equipment, the logistics sector offers a dynamic and stimulating working
environment in which women and men have equal opportunities for professional
success.
MORE THAN 1,000 SALES POSITIONS
As
part of the major recruitment drive in the sales sector, applications for more
than 1,000 sales positions across Bosnia and Herzegovina will be open from
August 15 to September 30.
The
recruitment campaign will cover more than 20 cities and municipalities,
including Sarajevo, Mostar, Gradiška, Modriča, Doboj, Laktaši, Banja Luka,
Bihać, Gračanica, Brčko, Bijeljina, Zvornik, Zenica, Travnik, Kakanj, Livno,
Čapljina, Vogošća, East Sarajevo, Kiseljak and Tešanj.
New
employees in these cities will receive training, while their start dates will
be coordinated with the planned opening schedule of Lidl stores.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED
Thanks
to Lidl's specific business model, jobs in its stores are not strictly divided
into separate roles. Employees will perform a variety of tasks, including
working at the checkout, assisting in the bakery, serving customers and
stocking shelves.
Previous
retail experience is not required. Candidates with a completed secondary
education, motivation to work and a willingness to learn can apply for the
positions.
The
latest recruitment drive represents a significant opportunity for the domestic
labour market and marks another important step in Lidl's preparations for
entering the retail market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
