Actor Zlatan Vidović, accompanied by musician Miroslav Vuković, premiered the cabaret “To My City – Stories the City Remembers” before an audience at the Cultural Center Gradiška.
This
stage and music program is a joint authorial project by the well-known actor
from Gradiška and the director of the Cultural Center, combining well-known
musical pieces with a narrative dedicated to the town on the Sava River.
Vidović
and Vuković explained that, as close friends and godfathers, they merged their
artistic professions to tell a deeply personal story about their hometown, its
people, and the events that shaped their upbringing.
They added that the cabaret is expected to return to the stage in Gradiška and potentially tour other cities, depending on their professional commitments.
“The
cabaret by Zlatan Vidović and Miroslav Vuković reminded us why we love this
city. Stories worth remembering, songs sung without hesitation, and genuine
emotion proved that Gradiška has a story truly worth telling. Encounters like
this show that a city is not just made of streets, but of people and shared
memories,” the Cultural Center Gradiška stated.
The
cabaret “To My City – Stories the City Remembers” was performed as part of this
year’s program marking City Day of Gradiška, organized by the Cultural Center
and the City Theatre of Gradiška.
