MONOGRAPH ON WWII HEROINE LEPA RADIĆ TO BE PRESENTED IN GRADIŠKA

A promotion of the monograph "Heroine Lepa Radić" by author Nedeljka Đukić Borojević will take place on July 27, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. in the small hall of the Cultural Centre in Gradiška, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The event is organized by the Central Cultural and Artistic Society "Lepa Radić" and will bring together the author, the book's reviewers, and representatives of the publisher. During the ceremony, special awards will also be presented to individuals and institutions recognized for their contributions to preserving historical and cultural heritage.

The monograph offers a comprehensive account of the life and legacy of Lepa Radić, one of the most celebrated heroines of the Second World War in the former Yugoslavia. It explores not only her personal story but also the geographical and historical context in which she lived, highlighting her enduring importance to the Kozara region and the Serbian people.

Spanning more than 300 pages and divided into four thematic chapters, the publication provides readers with an in-depth overview of Radić's life, her historical era, and her lasting legacy. The monograph was reviewed by Miladin Branković, Branimir Maletić, and Aleksandar Ljubičić.

Author Nedeljka Đukić Borojević is a respected Serbian writer known for publishing numerous collections of poetry, prose, short stories, and novels, as well as literary reviews and scholarly articles.

She is a member of several literary associations and has received multiple awards for her contribution to literature. Audiences in Gradiška are already familiar with her through numerous cultural events and literary presentations.
